Arrived safe in SXM
  Wednesday 16 November 2005 - 22:30:24 | Webmaster

- As reported from the Lambada....

We have arrived safely in Marigot - St. Martin [French/Neth. Antilles].

After the first 10 days motoring almost without wind, the next 5 we sailed with 45 knots winds as much as the first 5 days. With 20 foot waves crashing straight ahead. And one huge wave crushed our Main Sail and Cutter Sail. Also one of the rudders got damaged. Inside the cabin we hade some small damage - nothing we can't fix.

Because of the hurricane season, all the spaces on dry shore are taken up by the local yachts, so we probably move on to Curaçao to do our repairs there.

Yesterday we catched a beautifull Bonito, so we now have 5 days fish. And Sidney with sea-legs now has a couple of flying fish on his menu.

We did some great French shopping (bread, etc.) and 15 kg of washing in the washing machine.

 Snapshot
Enhanced with Snapshots

I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more. Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not. Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.
