October we installed our newly obtained Raymarine Radar and C70 Chart plotter. We managed to sell the old Furuno Radar and fitted a 19" VDU in its place, and are currently puzling how to hookup class "A"AIS and charts systems to 1 vdu. seperately they work very nice.

We replaced the old fresh hot and cold water tap and the salt water tap by a new chromed brass ceramic tap with a hose conection. First we rince with salt water than wash with fresh water. To minimize water waste we also have a hot water bypass return to the tank, when the valve boddy is hot, its time to open the hot water tap. In the bath room we fitted a thermostate controlled shower tap, also with a hot water bypass, no more mixing problems. We bought all taps at the DIY hardware store for much less than the boating equivalent. [click images for enlargement]

In Puerto Calero, a new tent and sunscreens were made at a local sailmaker - British couple - for a very compatitive price. [Click images for enlargment...]

Removed appart from front cabins all rockwool insulation and are replacing it with 10mm X-trem lighter and cleaner , with rockwool the under decks where still wet hope to have stopped this with the glued x-trem
|
Removed all old cutter sail traveler deckfittings on saloon deck to stop the ever ongoing bolt leaks and filled the old bolt holes withe thickened epoxy
|
After we removed the cutter sail traveler due to all the regular leaking bolds we fitted only 2 heavy duty eye bolts near the deck hatches where leaks are easily observed if they occur and fitted a tight rope between them with a block, thus the cutter sail remains self tacking, wonder if this setup will work.
|
To day installed the new Sea marchal man over board alarm, it had been a long strugle to find why it didn't start but when I opened up the unit found the problem 2 wires where incorrectly fitted, sory for the waranty but mistakes are also with the producers, all works well now and hope never to use it

I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more. Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not. Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out. |
